As mentioned in the previous article, there is a variety of construction and design drawings including [1]:
- Architectural Drawings
- Structural Drawings
- HVAC Drawings
- Electrical and Plumbing Drawings
- Firefighter Drawings
- Miscellaneous Drawings
In this article, we are going to explain the remaining 3 types of drawings: Electrical and Plumbing Drawings, Firefighter Drawings, Miscellaneous Drawings
Electrical and Plumbing Drawings
An electrical drawing is a diagram that shows how electrical circuits and other systems work in a building. Similar to electrical drawings, plumbing drawings show a building's water outlets and piping system.
A drawing of an electrical system provides a detailed description of all the electrical connections, outlets, fixtures, switches, lights, fans, and other components within the system. Additionally, electrical drawings show the load capacity and information about the air conditioning or heating system [1].
As with electrical drawings, plumbing construction plans illustrate the components and their locations. Water pipes, wastewater drainage systems, and anything else related to the building's plumbing are included here. Moreover, it may include the location of the taps and other water outlets on every floor [1].
Firefighter Drawings
It should be mentioned that an architectural drawing of a firefighting system is drawn before a building is constructed. In this type of drawing, the placement of fire hoses, points, water outlets, and everything else is planned.
The firefighter plans are very important in Canada; hence, the official website of NRC has defined a specific guideline for this section that all buildings under construction must follow. You can see this guideline – fire safety plan guideline at this link; https://www.nrcan.gc.ca/our-natural-resources/minerals-mining/mining/explosive-regulations/fire-safety-plan-guideline/13969#41[2].

Conclusion
In these two articles, we introduced the types of design and construction documentations and drawings. We should mention that the drawing sets follow a consistent pattern regardless of the type or design of the building, helping permit officials, contractors, and other members of the construction industry navigate the ocean of information associated with each design [3]. Moreover, acording to regulations, without official documents, no construction permit will start in Canada.
