The safety valve, rated at the vessel's maximum pressure, opens and releases excess fluid when the pressure exceeds the rated value. The vent closes and the valves cease fluid leakage when the pressure returns to a normal range.


Application of Pharmaceutical Vessels in the Pharma Industry

Parenteral Department

The pharmaceutical branch known as the parenteral department focuses on producing dosage forms that are directly injected into the body. These products are manufactured using process vessels, which are filled with liquid active pharmaceutical ingredients (API). To facilitate mixing, a mixer is mounted on the vessel. In cases where high temperatures are required during the production process, temperature control capabilities are added. Once the product is complete, it is transferred to pressure vessels for storage. Pharmaceutical items in the parenteral department are stored in pressure vessels under pressurized nitrogen gas to prevent contamination. Pressure vessels are also used during filling and testing procedures in laboratories.


Oral Liquid Dosage

Vessels are used for the manufacturing of oral liquid dosage forms that are administered orally. These vessels are also utilized for storing the liquid during laboratory testing and filling procedures.


Pharma Water Systems

Raw water is treated and processed into purified and distilled forms at water treatment facilities. Storage containers, such as storage vessels, are employed in pharma water systems to hold the output water. Before the water is distributed or circulated at the point of use, it is initially stored in these containers. The water levels in these storage tanks are coordinated with the facility responsible for producing purified and distilled water. When the storage vessel reaches its full capacity, the plant's operations are temporarily suspended until the water is used up and the water level decreases. Once the water levels fall below a certain threshold, the water plant automatically starts refilling the water to maintain the desired level.

Load Cell

Load cells are utilized to calculate the weight of the vessel. The weight of the vessel is directly proportional to the volume of liquid it contains, which is calibrated based on the vessel's volume.



The level sensor is employed to determine the liquid level inside a vessel. In pharmaceutical process vessels, both contact and contactless level sensors are used. Contact type sensors are installed on the vessel, and when the liquid comes into contact with the sensor, it indicates the required liquid level. At the vessel opening, contactless sensors are mounted, utilizing various technologies such as radar and ultrasound to wirelessly measure the level.



Temperature sensors are used to measure the temperature of the liquid inside the process vessels. These sensors can be either digital or analogue in nature.
